About Us

Bill Goode founded Bill Goode Photography in 1982 after working as a photographer for The Daily Southerner, the local newspaper in Tarboro, North Carolina. In 1990, Amy joined the business, leaving her career as a dental hygienist to become part of the family-owned photography studio.

For many years, Bill Goode Photography was a leader in wedding photography throughout Eastern North Carolina. As the business evolved, Bill shifted his focus toward commercial photography and family portraits, continuing to capture the people, places, and moments that matter most to his clients.

Bill has been an active member of the professional photography community throughout his career. He served as president of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina and is a Life Member of Professional Photographers of America, where he has earned the prestigious Craftsman degree in recognition of his professional education and contributions to the industry.

Recently, Bill and Amy relocated their business to the Charleston, South Carolina, area to be closer to family. They continue to offer professional photography services throughout the Charleston area and occasionally return to Eastern North Carolina to serve longtime clients.
